本單元重點是張大嘴巴跟老師一起讀，感受美語。練習我們的臉部肌肉，并體會美語發音的方式和技巧。

二、 美語發音：

1、4個雙元音

美語音標最大的區別在于其中的元音，過去學過的元音是單元音，但美語中所學的是雙元音

sentence: More haste, less speed.欲速則不達

第一步把每個音發準

第二步加上聲調

練習: It’s pay day today　今天是發工資的日子

2){o｝-{ou｝結尾停在u

美語發音的特點：盡量在口腔的后部把音發出來。

sentence: I hope so.

練習：He posed for a group of photo with his old fellows.

注：美語中常常對a和the進行變音，目的是為了強調

eg：

This is the best opportunity we ever have to enter the market.

3) {a｝-{ai｝

bike, mine, flight

this bike of mine

sentence: All right.

注：all不要卷舌

練習：Out of sight, out of mind　眼不見，心不煩

4) how

out, now about

sentence: Let’ s get out of here.

It’s kind of tough.

It’s kind of torture to read mathematics everyday.

練習: This is out-and-out power politics. 這是徹頭徹尾的強權政治

2、2個后元音

1){半圓兩點｝

發音技巧：盡量往最里吞這個音

sentence: It’s a promise.

練習：little red lorry 紅色小卡車

sentence: She’s looking at a good book.

3、輔音t的發音

writer, letter, better, city,

發音變化一：濁化

濁化原則1：t處在非重讀音節要濁化

如：writer, letter, better, city,

濁化原則2：t處在重讀音節不能濁化

如：Italian, attack, atomic, Latino, photographer

濁化對比：

Italy, attic(閣樓)

atom(原子), Latin, photograph

發音變化二：t在詞組中的發音變化：

練習：pick it up

I got it.

發音變化三：t發音的特殊情況：

當t發的很快，就會變成n的音

發音變化四：失去爆破

發音變化五：t的音從鼻子里出來(美音，英音都有的一種特殊情況)

4、r的發音

1)r在單詞中的發音

2)r帶動后面元音的發音

The girls are the pearls in the world.

原則：只有字母r存在才能卷舌

經常發錯的音：China, America, idea

三、美語中的變音現象

1、 連讀

1) 相同輔音的連讀

bad dog　　注意：不可以把音節給吞掉，只是這個音節不發音

like candy

ripe pear

some money

The report turned out to be totally false.這份報告完全是一派胡言。

2) 輔音+元音

It’s easy. Where’s our car? Come on in. What time is it now?

注：元音i后面再跟一個元音，兩個元音間要加入一個“耶”的音

2、失爆(吞讀)

兩個爆破音連接在一起時出現失爆(吞讀)

什么是爆破音：p, b, k, g, t, d

六個爆破音任何一個后面緊接著另一個爆破音或摩擦音或鼻音時，前一個爆破音將失去爆破。

3、縮讀

縮讀的原則：

1、 絕對不會是重點音節，不可以重讀

2、 只能出現在非正式場合

because—cause: I don’t like her cause she’s mean

could have—could’a : you could’a hurt yourself. (should ,would same)

四、單元檢測

The single market has already had an enormous impact. Here in Spain there have been a great number of cross-border mergers and acquisitions where French and German companies have seen opportunities to enter a growing market. And as the barriers have been removed this has become more and more possible.

As far as specific industries have been concerned, well, food and drink, for example, is an industry which you would think was very culturally bound, but we have seen over the last ten years how much eating and drinking habits have changed, and this is very much a function of a single market.
