   同學們大家好~你一定聽過這首歌“你是我的小呀小蘋果”“摩擦摩擦摩擦”，甚至有些時候不知不覺的聽到了這些旋律，你就會忍不住的哼唱出來，乃至持續一整天！知道嗎，這是一個科學問題，我們有一個特殊名詞去稱呼它“earworm”，耳朵蟲。你會覺得這個詞很萌？但就是這有著萌萌的名字的earworm，不知殘害了多少人……那么今天，我們一起分享一篇文章的幾個片段，講述的就是耳朵蟲，如果你想知道這是啥，跟著王鑫老師一起在科普小文中學英語又get海量知識吧~

“Earworms”, some people call them. Songs that get stuck in your head go round and round, sometimes for days, sometimes for months. For no clear reason you cannot help yourself from humming or singing a tune by Lady Gaga. 
耳朵蟲，人們通常這樣稱呼它，即一首歌在你的腦海中一遍一遍的反復，一遍一遍的唱著響著，有時候會持續幾天，有時候會持續幾個月。甚者有時候你根本不知道為什么就哼唱起了Lady Gaga的某首歌或者某個旋律。

To a psychologist, the most interesting thing about ear worms is that they show a part of our mind that is clearly outside of our control. Ear worms arrive without permission and refuse to leave when we tell them to. They are parasites（寄生蟲）, living in a part of our minds.
對于心理學家來說，對于耳朵蟲最有趣的一部分就是他們驗證了人類的部分大腦是不在我們控制之內的。耳朵蟲就是這樣沒有經過我們允許就來到了，而在我們讓它離去的時候，它又拒絕離開。

If you have got a ear worm you can suffer an attack of it simply by someone mentioning the tune, without having to hear it. This proves that ear worms are a part of long-term memory. 
如果你被耳朵蟲“侵襲”的話，你會僅僅因為別人提一下這個旋律，并沒有真正聽見這首歌，耳朵蟲就會再次來襲，一遍又一遍的重復其最初的那首歌。這證明了耳朵蟲是長期記憶的一部分。

Human have an “inner ear”, for remembering phone numbers, for instance. 
人類有內耳，比如可以用作記憶電話號碼。

When it gets infected with earworms, rather than review our plans for the day, or lists of things to remember, the inner ear gets stuck on a few short bars of music or a couple of phrases from a song. A part of us that we normally do not have to think about, that should just do what we ask, has been turned against us, upsetting us with a request that we never asked for. The mind is an inner world which we do not have complete knowledge of, or have control over.
當人類內耳被耳朵蟲感染的時候，它將不再重新反思一天的計劃或者需要記憶的清單中的事物，而是被一個個短的音樂片段或者是一首歌里面的同一句歌詞阻礙，下入了一遍又一遍的重復回環之中。通常情況下在我們身體之中無需我們擔心的一部分，應該聽從我們調遣的一部分，一下子和我們自身對著干，反對大腦的指令，做一些我們從沒有要求它做過的事情來以此使我們心煩意亂。我們的大腦處在一個我們未知的并且不受控制的世界。
